Food Pantry-5.png

Did you know that 1 in 10 Iowans struggle with hunger? As the church, we can respond in several practical ways to meet these very physical needs. We have two coinciding pantries here at New City.

We're distributing boxes every Wednesday 5-6:30pm. No need to request ahead... just pull in the North Driveway up to the Food Pantry Entrance and honk your horn!

How do these two pantries operate? Glad you asked!

There are impactful ways YOU can be involved in caring for our community:

Church Food Pantry

Who is this for? Anyone in need of food!
How can you serve? This is stocked by our own church family through financial contributions. You can donate to the Food Pantry Fund when you give online HERE.

Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS) Food Pantry
We are SO grateful to partner with the Food Bank of Iowa to be a designated food pantry site for DMPS.
Who is this for? We can serve any family with students in the DMPS district who meet the eligibility guidelines provided through the Department of Human Services. Learn more HERE.
How can you serve? There are several ways you can get involved, including PRAYER, receiving and unloading, packaging and distribution, or sewing t-shirt bags.

We've partnered with our Good Neighbors at Deer Ridge Apartments to provide some much needed love and compassion for those individuals and families in need. For more info or to get involved, click the SIGN UP button.

Rain, sleet or snow...Our Hot Dog Ministry is out EVERY SATURDAY (literally) in our community providing a hot meal and some TLC to those in need.
